My name is Jan (39) and I am an independent craftsman who has dedicated myself to the traditional production of forged objects and wooden crafts. Manufacturing in a traditional and historical way is my focus. By respecting nature and the materials associated with it I try to preserve these ancient crafts.
About Us
As a trained construction mechanic, I no longer wanted to waste my energy on others and work for companies/bosses. My family and I left our old home in Germany and emigrated to Sweden. There we quickly realized that we had to go our own way and were able to face new challenges.
My new passion has become blacksmithing and my beloved wife gave me a lot of strength to realize this on my own path. Of course I have always enjoyed working with metal and wood, but forging has a special place. Our awareness and our path to living with nature and preserving traditional values give us the path we can take and we are very grateful for that. This energy should also flow into our craft and this is how the Vita Vargens Smedja was created. A traditional blacksmith and wood craft workshop.
